With the length of 53.5 km, the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway is evaluated to be part of the North-South Highway axis, belonging to the southern focal economic zone. The proposed expressway will help ease traffic jams at the gates to Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City and pave the way for the Long Thanh International Airport when being brought into operation in the future.

Meinhardt was engaged by Korea Highway Corporation, as the Consultant to carry out feasibility study for this proposed Expressway with estimated total costs of US$ 255.96 millions and US$ 108.62 millions for HCMC – Long Thanh and Long Thanh – Dau Giay sections respectively
